Leaching Kinetics of Rare Earth Elements in Phosphoric Acid from Phosphate Rock

چکیده

Phosphate rock has been considered as one of the most significant secondary rare-earth resource, and utilization rare earth elements (REEs) in phosphate attracted increasing attention. In this study, leaching kinetics REEs from a ore China was studied with variation temperature phosphoric acid concentration under conditions: ratio liquid to solid 12 mL/g, stirring speed 120 r/min, particle size ?0.074 mm amounts 61.1%. The results suggest that there were two distinct stages process both followed shrinking core model. At fast reaction stage, semi-empirical equation describing 1 ? 3(1 ?)2/3 + 2(1 ?) = 1.885CH3PO40.89exp(?11220/8.31T)t. for slow stage 0.299CH3PO42.50exp(?18720/8.31T)t. Using model time-to-a-given-fraction method, we found rate controlled by product layer diffusion, diffusion chemical determined stage.

Optimization of Acid Leaching of Rare-Earth Elements from Mongolian Apatite-Based Ore

Optimization of the acid leaching process for Mongolian apatite-based ore containing rare-earth elements (REEs) was studied. The ore contained approximately 10% of REEs as total rare earth oxides, and the major impurities were Ca (33% as CaO) and Fe (23% as Fe2O3). Fe bearing minerals could be removed by passing the sample through a wet high-intensity magnetic separator before leaching. After m...

Mechanical activation of phosphate concentrates to enhance dissolution efficiency of rare earth elements from a kinetic viewpoint

The Esfordi phosphate concentrate mainly contains fluorapatite, monazite, and xenotime as rare earth element (REE) minerals, accounting for 1.5% of rare earth metals. The monazite and xenotime minerals are refractory and their decomposition is only possible at high temperatures. Thus mechanical activation was used in the present work for this purpose. After 90 minutes of mechanical activation, ...

Kinetics of Sphalerite Leaching by Sodium Nitrate in Sulfuric Acid

In the present work, the extraction of zinc from a sphalerite concentrate using sodium nitrate as an oxidant in a sulfuric acid solution was investigated. The effective parameters such as the temperature, sulfuric acid and sodium nitrite concentrations, stirring speed, particle size, and solid/liquid (S/L) ratio were analyzed. The dissolution rate increased with increase in the sulfuric acid an...
